About the role
Experienced payroll specialist responsible for executing payroll, filings, and payments across Spain as part of Rippling’s Global Payroll Operations team. Focused on country-specific payroll expertise, external partner relationships, and cross-functional collaboration to expand global payroll capabilities and support natively built software.
Responsibilities
- Execute timely payroll, filings, and payments for all customers across key countries
- Drive issue resolution and communication with various government agencies and partners; interface with customers to resolve issues
- Collaborate with Global Payroll Engineering and Product teams to ensure payroll software supports key payroll and tax compliance requirements
- Address product bugs and issues (e.g., calculation errors, file generation errors) and prioritize internal tooling requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4+ years in a global payroll processing role
- Minimum of 2+ years in a client facing role
- Strong Spain payroll experience
- Experience running payroll in-house using A3Innuva software
- Bonus: experience running payroll in other EMEA countries
- Ability to review and validate calculations
- Understanding of payroll concepts and strong knowledge of payroll regulations
- Deep understanding of leave entitlements and labor legislation
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work under strict deadlines
- Fluent in Spanish and English
- Experience with Google Suite or Microsoft Office (Docs/Sheets/Excel); familiarity with Salesforce queues, JIRA, and Confluence considered a plus
