About the role

Manager, Global Expansion, CEO Office supporting end-to-end expansion into new APAC markets, from market-entry strategy to licensing, product readiness, operational launch and scale-up; based in Singapore.

Responsibilities

  • Support new country expansion strategy: structure and size the opportunity for where and how Airwallex expands next across APAC, working with senior leads on choosing the markets and defining what it takes to win in each one.
  • Support the market entry model: evaluate licensing path, entity structure, and commercial model for each market, translating regulatory and licensing requirements into the operating model on the ground.
  • Shape the product roadmap: work with Product and Engineering to turn regulatory and licensing requirements into concrete product scope and sequencing for local launch and scale.
  • Support executive decision-making: help frame decisions on market prioritization, launch readiness and investment decisions for executive leadership.
  • Contribute to the operating system for launches: develop tools, templates, and rhythms for market entry using AI-assisted research, drafting and automation (e.g., licence mapping, competitor analysis, Global Expansion dashboards).
  • Support governance: run go/no-go and launch-readiness processes with cross-functional sign-offs and risk mitigation across product, operational, regulatory, and commercial dimensions.
  • Flex onto priority CEO Office initiatives beyond core market launches (strategic reviews, restructuring, migration projects, crisis response, cross-market structuring).

Qualifications

  • 4-6 years of experience in top-tier strategy consulting (MBB or equivalent), regulatory/financial services law, or strategy/expansion roles in fintech or payments with exposure to market-entry or licensing-driven projects.
  • Track record of contributing to complex, multi-stakeholder programs, including workstream execution, planning support, and executive-level updates.
  • Strong operating discipline: comfortable structuring multi-workstream programs, governance cadences, and managing dependencies across functions.
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools in day-to-day work (e.g., regulatory research, licence mapping, competitive analysis, documentation, workflow automation).
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with ability to simplify issues and present concise materials for steering forums.
  • High ownership mindset, comfort with ambiguity, hands-on in details to move launches forward in fast-paced environment.
