About the role

First dedicated Engineering Manager in SF to lead and grow a team of engineers, stay hands-on in code and system design, and help scale the engineering function at Numeric.

Responsibilities

  • Data platform: Lead the team building ingestion, transformation, and lineage infrastructure for traceable, source-connected financial data access.
  • Reporting engine: Own delivery of flexible financial reporting, from projections to individual transactions.
  • Accounting automation: Guide core engine that structures messy financial data and automates manual work.
  • Workflow, AI, and user experience: Lead complex accounting workflows with dependency management, automation, and AI-native experiences wrapped in a delightful product.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience building software, including meaningful time as a hands-on engineer
  • 2+ years directly managing engineers, with ownership of hiring, performance, and team output
  • High motivation and agency
