About the role

Build scalable Ruby and TypeScript applications that power Kin’s insurance platform. Solve complex problems, mentor engineers, and ship high-impact features in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Ruby on Rails
  • Deliver stories, tasks, and full features from design through deployment
  • Pair program with team members to solve problems and raise code quality
  • Participate actively in Scrum ceremonies, including daily standups, sprint planning, and weekly retrospectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to align technical work with product goals
  • Bring subject-matter expertise to your team, helping guide peers through complex technical problems

Qualifications

  • Track record of shipping small to medium size software projects
  • Proficiency coding in Ruby, JavaScript, or TypeScript
  • Experience operating within Agile/Scrum development environments
