About the role

Datacenter Security Operations Manager in CO+I Physical Security responsible for physical security operations at datacenters and related facilities within the applicable region, coordinating with vendor security guards, leading risk mitigation efforts, and communicating risk analyses to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the implementation of physical security policies and procedures at applicable datacenters, ensuring vendor guard force has resources and information to meet Microsoft and customer requirements to protect people, information, and critical infrastructure.
  • With minimal assistance, perform analysis to detect security threats, alerts, or risks and escalate to incident response teams or external authorities as necessary.
  • With minimal assistance, implement security protocols to protect personnel and assets and maintain security programs in areas of responsibility.
  • Partner with datacenter operations, security systems, and other stakeholders to ensure secure and continuous operations in a One Team, One Microsoft environment.
  • Continuously improve the efficiency and maturity of the physical security program at Microsoft datacenters, optimize resources including budget management and forecasting, and scale, automate, and simplify processes where possible.
  • Receive escalations/notifications of physical security and business impacting events, triage, keep regional leadership informed, and ensure appropriate incident response.
  • Be on-call 24x7x365 and travel periodically as planned or unplanned within or outside the assigned area.
  • Contribute to risk identification for datacenter insecurity and security disruption and summarize risk analyses for internal stakeholders and leaders.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years' experience in Security Program or Program Management or related field
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements including Microsoft Cloud Background Check on hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
