About the role

LangChain is hiring a West Coast-based People Operations Specialist in San Francisco to own onboarding, day-to-day HR operations, compliance, and hospitality, with a focus on scalable processes, documentation, and automation for a fast-growing tech company.

Responsibilities

  • Own onboarding end-to-end. Run pre-boarding — documentation, account setup, background checks, and data handoffs to IT, Payroll, and Workplace.
  • Run cohort day. Facilitate twice-monthly in-person onboarding cohorts in SF, including compliance and employee experience.
  • Drive the first 90 days support structure. Manage the 45/90 check-in cadence, buddy program, and onboarding survey, including closing the loop on insights.
  • Be the front line during US hours. Serve as first stop for employee questions, resolve when possible and route otherwise, and expand knowledge base.
  • Build the process, don't just run it. Write and maintain onboarding SOPs, close parity between in-office and remote onboarding, and create paths for rehires and international hires.
  • Automate your own work. Use AI for repetitive tasks and leverage automation to reduce issues and improve efficiency.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years in people operations, HR coordination, or onboarding at a high-growth tech company
  • hands-on HRIS experience (Rippling preferred)
  • Working knowledge of I-9 and employment eligibility verification, including retention and audit requirements
  • Documentation-first instincts; processes written and usable by others
  • AI fluency and tendency to automate
  • White-glove judgment for new hire day, discretion with compensation, immigration, and personal data
  • Resilient ownership; comfortable in globally distributed, fast-paced environments
  • Operating Principles alignment with LangChain's culture and values
