About the role

Forward Deployed Product Manager at BlueAlpha responsible for direct customer engagement, on-site deployments, and translating customer needs into actionable product improvements. Combines customer ownership, technical implementation, and product judgment to deploy and iterate on BlueAlpha’s solutions with enterprise clients.

Responsibilities

  • Own the customer relationship. Be the primary day-to-day contact for the customers you support. Build trust with the people using our products and the stakeholders responsible for results. Understand their goals, manage expectations, and keep priorities and commitments clear as their needs evolve.
  • Work alongside customer teams. Get close to their workflows, systems, and decision-making. Sit with users as they work, understand the problem behind each request, and identify where BlueAlpha can remove manual work or help them make better decisions. You’ll work on-site with customers when needed to understand their workflows, support deployment, and help their teams get value from BlueAlpha.
  • Deploy our products yourself. Become an expert in BlueAlpha’s capabilities and own implementation from discovery and scoping through configuration, integration, testing, and launch. Work directly in the product with customers, troubleshoot issues, and involve Engineering where deeper changes are needed.
  • Find opportunities and turn them into working solutions. Work with customers, Sales, and Customer Impact to uncover stalled decisions and unmet needs. Make potential solutions tangible using our existing products, help customers prioritize where to start, and follow through on delivery.
  • Make deployments work in practice. Define success criteria with customers before launch, including edge cases and where human review is needed. Test workflows with users, support adoption, and improve solutions based on actual usage. Stay close after launch to make sure the product becomes part of the customer’s day-to-day operations.
  • Turn customer needs into product direction. Identify patterns across accounts and translate them into clear proposals for Engineering. Distinguish a configuration issue from a missing capability, and a one-off request from something we should build for many customers. Help prioritize improvements and validate them with users.
  • Keep delivery moving. Turn ambiguous requests into clear scope, priorities, and next steps. Explain tradeoffs, address issues early, and keep the customer and internal teams aligned on what we’re delivering, when, and what’s needed to get it live.

Qualifications

  • Experience owning customer relationships.
  • A technical background (degree in computer science or related field, software engineering experience, or equivalent practical experience).
  • Evidence of delivery in driving technical product implementations to users.
  • Product judgment to assess problems, impact, and scope.
  • Clear thinking and communication to translate messy conversations into concrete problems and actionable context for Engineering.
  • Initiative and follow-through with proactive problem solving and ongoing engagement until solution works.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to manage several customers and priorities.
  • Practical curiosity about AI and willingness to experiment with AI tools to improve outcomes.
  • Experience in forward deployed engineering, customer-facing technical product management, or technical implementation is a plus. Familiarity with growth operations, marketing measurement, MMM, or attribution is valuable.
