About the role

Datacenter Security Operations Manager responsible for physical security operations at Microsoft datacenters and related facilities within the applicable region, coordinating with vendor security guards, mitigating risks, and communicating risk findings to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the implementation of physical security policies and procedures at applicable datacenters, ensuring vendor guard resources meet Microsoft and customer requirements to protect people, information, and critical infrastructure.
  • With minimal assistance, perform analysis to detect security threats, alerts, or risks and escalate to incident response or external authorities as needed; implement security protocols to protect personnel and assets; deliver and maintain security programs.
  • Partner with datacenter operations, security systems and other stakeholders to ensure secure and continuous operations within a One Team, One Microsoft environment.
  • Continuously improve the efficiency and maturity of the physical security program, optimize resources including budget management and forecasting, and implement solutions to scale, automate and simplify processes.
  • Receive escalations/notifications of physical security and business-impacting events, triage, keep regional leadership informed, and deploy necessary personnel for incident response.
  • On-call 24x7x365 and occasional travel within or outside the assigned city/metropolitan area.
  • Support risk identification for datacenter insecurity and disruption to assist decision-makers in mitigating risks and reporting risk analyses to internal stakeholders and leaders.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years' experience in Security Program or Program Management or related field
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Business Risks or related field AND 8+ years' experience in Security Program or Program Management OR equivalent experience
  • Industry security certifications such as CPP, PSP, or other relevant security certification
  • Background check requirements including Microsoft Cloud Background Check on hire/transfer and every two years
