About the role

Senior software engineer and technical lead for Samsara's Agentic Platform in the External Platform EMEA, focusing on reporting, enterprise administration, developer/agent platform, and critical infrastructure. Remote role based in Poland with emphasis on building, leading, and maintaining complex enterprise systems and leveraging AI tooling.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical discussions with teammates to identify gaps in our telematics data platform and influence roadmap by setting direction and recommending solutions
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams to make design decisions and understand downstream implications in our product to ensure a seamless customer experience
  • Ship features that deliver value to customers, consistently refining them based on gathered feedback
  • Deliver full stack features across multiple tiers (front-end, back-end and mobile). GoLang, GraphQL, Typescript, React and ReactNative among other technologies. Direct experience with these technologies is not required
  • Be responsible for maintaining the production systems that your team owns and provide operational support
  • Make an impact on our core architecture, roadmap, and the wider engineering community
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices
  • Hire, develop and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high performing team

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of relevant engineering experience, including hands-on work building and operating complex enterprise systems
  • A track record of turning partially defined customer or business challenges into technical direction, execution plans, and measurable outcomes with substantial autonomy
  • Strong system design judgment, including service boundaries, dependencies, failure modes, performance, and safe changes to production systems
  • Experience leading delivery through deep ownership of a critical system or coordination across multiple services and teams, balancing immediate needs with long-term architecture
  • Ability to improve other engineers’ effectiveness through mentoring, design reviews, and clear technical decisions
  • Extensive use of AI throughout engineering, including complex investigations and design exploration, with the ability to validate results and help teammates adopt effective workflows
