About the role

Senior Software Engineer on the HRIS Transition & Termination team building systems for employee changes (promotions, transfers, terminations, bulk restructures) and APIs for enterprise-scale, with focus on temporal products, conflict resolution across concurrent changes, and AI-driven workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Build systems that power every employee change at Rippling — promotions, transfers, terminations, and bulk restructures across large organizations.
  • Own projects end-to-end from design to delivery, including a stackable changes engine to schedule overlapping transitions without data loss.
  • Develop APIs enabling large customers to run headless HRIS operations programmatically.
  • Address hard problems at enterprise scale, including temporal product challenges and conflict resolution across concurrent changes.
  • Contribute to AI-driven workflows that replace static forms with a conversational experience.
