About the role

Senior Software Engineer with strong C++ expertise to design and deliver security, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Copilot integrations for Microsoft Edge for Business, connecting the browser with security, compliance, identity, management, and productivity ecosystem for enterprise AI adoption.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, test, and ship secure, reliable, and performant features in the Microsoft Edge C++ codebase, with a focus on enterprise security, Data Loss Prevention, and Copilot experiences.
  • Drive technical architecture and execution for integrations between Microsoft Edge and Microsoft’s security, compliance, identity, and management ecosystem, including Microsoft Purview.
  • Lead cross-organizational initiatives spanning browser components, native code, cloud services, and other Microsoft products while applying secure engineering principles to sensitive data, enterprise policies, authentication, and telemetry.
  • Partner with product managers, security experts, and engineers to translate commercial customer requirements into scalable solutions, using telemetry and customer feedback to improve quality, performance, and reliability.
  • Shape the team’s long-term technical strategy, mentor engineers through design and code reviews, and foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, inclusion, and continuous learning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field AND 4+ years of technical engineering experience designing, developing, testing, and debugging production software in C++ - OR equivalent experience
  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field AND 6+ years of software engineering experience - OR a Bachelor’s Degree AND 8+ years of software engineering experience, with substantial production development in C++ - OR equivalent experience.
