About the role

AMER Regional Estimating Lead responsible for development and management of estimates for all new projects in the Americas, with a focus on standard data center fleet projects, mentoring sub-regional estimators, managing cost data and communications, and coordinating with engineering, construction, security, networking, and operations teams. Reports to the Global Director of Estimating.

Responsibilities

  • Estimate the cost of datacenter projects to support short- and long-term plans for the corporation.
  • Manage AMERs regional team and responsible for all projects.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (design engineering, construction, cost controls, scheduling, finance, etc.) to understand requirements and ensure alignment to scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Develop and maintain estimating databases and templates specific to the role.
  • Report out to senior managers on estimate data, project cost progress and assumptions to ensure clear communication.
  • Perform different types of estimates and projects, while keeping delivery dates as a top priority.
  • Provide day-to-day Cost Management activities to maintain project financial reporting and logging systems (commitments & forecasting spends for monthly, quarterly & fiscal year).
  • Support, develop and improve estimating and cost management processes and procedures.
  • Drive standardization and consistency throughout the group.
  • Manage all commercial issues on all current, future, and past projects and report on these issues through Project Controls & DCD head office in Redmond.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 12+ years related experience OR equivalent experience.
