About the role

Software Engineer role focused on building and operating sovereign cloud infrastructure and Azure services across government cloud environments, with emphasis on distributed systems, modernization, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and operate highly available, scalable, secure, and observable cloud services.
  • Drive technical design and implementation for complex engineering problems, evaluating architectural approaches and trade-offs.
  • Drive features and projects end-to-end, from requirements and design through deployment and production readiness.
  • Build deep domain expertise in cloud infrastructure, global deployment technologies, and sovereign cloud engineering.
  • Collaborate with partner teams to define technical solutions, resolve dependencies, and deliver cross-service capabilities.
  • Improve service reliability and operational excellence through automation, monitoring, diagnostics, and root-cause analysis.
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering best practices through design reviews, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to C#, Java, C++ or equivalent experience.
