About the role

Microsoft is seeking Business Administrators to support various leaders across the company, combining independent work with collaboration, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment. Role includes leading within the business administrator community, supporting org-wide initiatives, and providing backup support as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Calendar Management and Meeting Logistics - Learns or provides calendar management and time planning support for manager(s); manages conference room calendars; prepares meeting settings and resolves AV/technical issues; handles ambiguous situations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration and Communication - Develops relationships with stakeholders across multiple organizations and communicates with external partners and audiences.
  • Discipline Growth and Development - Participates in the Business Support community; may mentor colleagues and contribute to onboarding/training; documents and shares proven practices.
  • Event Coordination and Logistics - Supports planning and execution of events; may create event itineraries; acts as point of contact; handles post-event close out under guidance.
  • Project Ownership - Executes projects end-to-end with minimal supervision; identifies risks; suggests process improvements and adjusts as needed.
  • Resource Management - Contributes to planning, tracking, and maintenance of equipment and inventory; processes expense reports; participates in budget tracking and vendor management; may contribute to budget management.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years administrative, business support, and/or customer service experience.
