About the role

Datacenter Security Operations Manager in CO+I Physical Security, accountable for physical security operations at datacenters and related facilities within the applicable region, coordinating with vendor security staff, assessing risks, and communicating risk analysis to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the implementation of physical security policies and procedures at applicable datacenters, ensuring vendor guard resources and information meet Microsoft and customer requirements to protect people, information, and critical infrastructure.
  • With minimal assistance, analyze security threats, alerts, or risks and escalate to incident response teams or external authorities as necessary.
  • Implement security protocols to support physical protection of personnel and assets, and deliver and maintain security programs in areas of responsibility.
  • Partner with datacenter operations, security systems and other stakeholders to ensure secure, continuous operations in a One Team, One Microsoft environment.
  • Continuously improve the efficiency and maturity of the physical security program, using data to reduce churn, optimize resources (including budget management and forecasting), and scale/process automation where possible.
  • Receive escalations/notifications of physical security and business-impacting events, triage appropriately, and keep regional leadership informed; ensure incident response personnel are mobilized as needed.
  • Contribute to collaborative efforts with stakeholders to support security capabilities and assist in risk identification for datacenter insecurity and security disruption; summarize and report risk analysis to internal stakeholders and leaders.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Security Program or Program Management or related field.
  • Ability to perform analysis to detect security threats, alerts, or risks.
