About the role

The India Area Business Manager acts as chief-of-staff to the Area Vice President (AVP), partnering across the India subsidiary to drive strategic activity, alignment, and execution of subsidiary goals. This on-site role focuses on ROB orchestration, executive engagements, transformational projects, and ensuring effective communication and collaboration across business units and leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Rhythm-Of-the-Business orchestration and facilitation: ROB planning and execution of MCAPS India Area SLT meetings, coordination with India and Corp Stakeholders for global QBCs and Corp meetings, alignment with Finance, HR, CELA, communications for internal/external stakeholder updates, support One-Microsoft India agenda, manage action item planning and follow-up with cross-functional teams.
  • Business Manager - Microsoft India agenda and engagements: End-to-end content ownership for external events/meetings (customer/partner/influencers) of AVP, build analytics for insights from engagements, deliver impactful visits of senior executives, coordinate with CVPs Executive Business Admin for time allocation, drive employee engagement and culture.
  • Support CVP, Microsoft India on Transformational Projects: Support CVP on transformational projects, collaborate with MCAPS India Area LT, serve as Project Lead/Manager for strategic projects, work with SE&O Lead and CFO to drive growth agenda.

Qualifications

  • A combination of an engineering / technology degree plus MBA
  • High on executive presence, ability to lead via influence, collaboration and building credibility
  • Experience of working in a matrixed environment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience in an agile environment with ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Ability to travel extensively across India
  • Minimum 12+ years relevant experience
  • Experience in Marketing/Partner/Sales/technology/Start-up roles is highly desired
  • People management experience, especially in Microsoft is highly desired
