About the role

Technical advisor role partnering with customers to drive business outcomes through Microsoft technologies, leading strategic technical engagements, enabling successful project delivery, and shaping go-to-market approaches with input from partners and internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Build Strategy: Shape strategic win and customer success plans, tailor Microsoft messaging, build consumption plans with Partners and Industry Solutions Delivery teams, capture competitive knowledge and provide feedback to product/engineering.
  • Education: Develop readiness plans, expand domain knowledge, mentor others, demonstrate products to increase understanding and emphasize security and regulatory compliance.
  • Leverage Partner Ecosystem: Act as liaison between partners and team, facilitate partner resources and processes, identify skill/resource gaps and provide feedback to internal teams.
  • Scale Customer Engagements: Build credibility with customers as trusted advisor on security needs, engage product teams to remediate blockers, lead technical wins and establish engagement rules, seek customer references, proactively reach out to customers.
  • Solution Design and Proof: Demonstrate and oversee architecture sessions and POC demonstrations, apply architecture patterns, drive cross-workload support, and coach on sales methodologies to align technology with business needs.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 3+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR 5+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years technical pre-sales, technical consulting, or technology delivery, or related experience
  • 4+ years experience with cloud and hybrid, or on premises infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management
  • Certification in relevant technologies or disciplines (e.g., Office 365, Power BI, Azure Architect and Development exams, Cloud Platform Technologies, Information Security, Architecture)
