About the role

Senior Level role on the Route Planning team focused on designing and building routing and navigation features end to end, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating with product and design to improve planner efficiency. Remote-based in US/Canada with relocation not provided.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build features end to end, from frontend to backend, that work across diverse customer base (e.g., grocery delivery to oil and gas)
  • Leverage AI with judgment to unblock customer deals or accelerate refactors to reduce incident risk
  • Partner with engineering manager and staff engineers to advocate for technical excellence
  • Collaborate with product manager and designer to build interfaces and APIs that make a planner’s work more efficient
  • Mentor junior engineers and help build a strong technical bench

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
  • 6+ years of experience as a software engineer
  • Demonstrated ability executing in ambiguous environments
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal navigating conversations with a technical audience or a customer
