About the role

Senior leader responsible for the Enterprise Collections function within the Order to Cash organization, driving collections performance, cross-functional collaboration, process improvements, and compliance (SOX) for Samsara’s enterprise accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Own collections performance (aging, past-due reduction, dispute resolution velocity) for the enterprise portfolio.
  • Provide guidance and support for team development, including coaching and performance management for collections analysts and specialists.
  • Lead strategic initiatives to meet collections targets for one or more teams, aligning with OTC and enterprise goals.
  • Manage escalations and customer communications on complex accounts.
  • Partner cross-functionally (Sales, Legal, Deal Desk, CS, FinSys, Treasury) to resolve invoicing/contract/payment issues.
  • Drive and implement process improvements and automation (tools, workflows, reporting) to improve collections efficiency and customer experience.
  • Participate in periodic reviews of OTC policies and SOX controls with senior leadership, ensuring compliance.
  • Represent OTC/Collections in cross-functional initiatives.
  • Champion Samsara's cultural principles and hire, develop, and lead an inclusive, high-performing team.

Qualifications

  • 5–7+ years of experience in Order-to-Cash, Revenue Operations, Billing, or Shared Services.
  • 3–5+ years of supervisory/people management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to support team objectives and deliver results through others.
  • Strong knowledge of Order-to-Cash / Accounts Receivable processes, including collections and dispute management.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Ability to drive process optimization and automation initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of SOX controls / policy compliance in a finance operations environment.
  • Hands-on experience using Salesforce and NetSuite (or comparable CRM/ERP) to investigate customer, opportunity, contract, order, invoice, payment, credit, or account data.
