About the role

We’re looking for pragmatic, high-agency engineers to design and ship infrastructure that enables Conduct to scale for large enterprises, while accelerating product teams building on top of it.

Responsibilities

  • Accelerating product teams by building platform abstractions, sensible defaults, and internal tooling that enable engineers to focus on product rather than plumbing.
  • Scaling infrastructure to meet enterprise reliability requirements and remain robust as the company grows.
  • Taming LLM infrastructure with high token throughput, real-time usage, and flaky providers to ensure reliability.
  • Raising the floor of the system design across auth, observability, and job orchestration so architectures are solid from the start and scalable long-term.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of backend experience with exposure to platform or infrastructure work
  • Strong system design instincts and end-to-end ownership across APIs, infrastructure, and data flows
  • Experience with distributed systems, scaling databases (PostgreSQL), queuing, and large-scale batch processing
  • Ability to benchmark and tune systems under real load and make pragmatic trade-offs when data is ambiguous
  • Familiarity with LLM infrastructure at scale
  • Proactive about mentorship, improving systems, and raising standards
