About the role

Principal Software Engineer responsible for leading end-to-end software development, architecture, AI-infused applications, Copilot features, and collaboration across cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise AI-enabled solutions within Microsoft Commercial Sales Experiences (CSX) Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment, enforcing engineering best practices for high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions.
  • Leverage AI to develop Copilot features and AI-infused applications to enhance user experience and productivity.
  • Design resilient solutions aligned with architectural best practices, security by design, and business goals.
  • Mentor team members through code reviews and design feedback to promote skill growth and collaboration.
  • Foster cross-team collaboration with Microsoft product teams, program managers, and UX designers to manage dependencies and deliver updates.
  • Establish and enforce coding, testing, and documentation standards to ensure code quality and reliability.
  • Support and maintain existing services and integrations with line-of-business applications across the enterprise.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process optimization, and technical innovation.
  • Participate in sprint and semester planning, provide accurate cost estimates, and maintain transparent communication on deliverables, risks, and milestones.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
