About the role

Senior Manager of Loan Operations to optimize and modernize loan verification processes, leading multi-site teams in Phoenix and San Francisco and overseeing vendor partnerships to scale workflow efficiencies without proportional headcount growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the optimization of Loan Operation workflows, identifying bottlenecks and incorporating automation to create a scalable, low-friction operation.
  • Mentor, develop, and guide operations team in Phoenix and San Francisco, fostering a cohesive, collaborative culture focused on execution and quality.
  • Establish and execute plans to expand processing capacity with a focus on throughput, faster turnaround times, and strategic resource allocation.
  • Use workflow data, pipeline metrics, and quality performance indicators to make informed operational decisions.
  • Directly manage verification vendor partnerships tasked with executing core internal team workflows; hold them accountable to rigorous performance metrics and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive operational leadership experience within financial services, FinTech, or lending, including direct experience managing other managers and distributed teams.
  • Hands-on experience supervising outsourced vendors or external processing partners, with emphasis on metric accountability, SLA enforcement, and quality assurance.
  • Strong operational mindset with ability to identify, evaluate, and implement automation solutions (including AI and OCR).
  • Proven ability to use operational data to evaluate team performance and make data-driven decisions.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
