About the role

Full-stack engineer (backend leaning) role focused on Platform Engineering at ElevenLabs, building core foundations for users, workspaces, and permissions with emphasis on correctness, security, and safe rollout. Remote-friendly with teams across UK, EU, US.

Responsibilities

  • Workspaces & User Management: build and improve API keys, login experience, analytics, admin tooling, workspace security, and related features; collaborate with Sales, FDEs, and customer teams to translate feedback into improvements; ship customer-facing features end-to-end from backend to admin/UI.
  • Permissions & Resources: design and build generic resource and permissioning services used by product teams; tackle large-scale, greenfield problems such as managing access for a million agents; drive cross-team adoption with minimal rework.
  • In both teams: scope work within large existing systems; rollout safely with minimal disruption; debug and operate what you build from customer reports, logs, and code; own features from scoping to completion with mentorship.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in Python
  • Strong backend development background with capability to work across the stack
  • Experience with APIs, cloud infrastructure tools, storage solutions, and data structures
  • Strong test design and security fundamentals
  • Attention to detail when changing live, business-critical systems; ability to learn a large codebase quickly
  • Comfort with ambiguity and prioritising among signals
