About the role

Remote 4-month internship (January–April 2027) for the Finance team at 1Password, focusing on Technical Accounting and Treasury. Remote opportunity within US/Canada. Responsibilities include researching technical accounting, quarter-end support, cash management tasks, and ad hoc projects. Emphasis on collaboration, AI-enabled workflow, and professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Researching and documenting technical accounting conclusions.
  • Supporting quarter-end procedures, controls, schedules, and audit documentation.
  • Updating daily cash positioning worksheets and dashboards.
  • Preparing variance analyses, monitoring liquidity, and tracking daily cash activity.
  • Assisting with cash flow forecasting and transaction inquiries.
  • Contributing to ad hoc strategic projects and process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Coursework in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field (bonus)
  • Exposure to US GAAP, financial reporting, or technical accounting research (bonus)
  • Interest in treasury, cash management, insurance, or financial risk (bonus)
  • Familiarity with AI tools and a willingness to learn new systems (bonus)
  • Experience creating clear process documentation or working with dashboards (bonus)
  • Intermediate skills in Excel or Google Sheets, including organizing data and using formulas (bonus)
