About the role

Senior solutions engineer role in Snowflake's Solution Engineering team focused on redefining data solutions, collaborating with sales, partners, and customers, and enabling PoCs, demos, and value demonstrations throughout the sales cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Present Snowflake technology and vision to executives and IT professionals of prospects and customers
  • Demonstrate Snowflake technology value through demos and PoCs across the sales cycle
  • Understand industry evolution and position Snowflake against competitors and related technologies
  • Collaborate with product management, engineering, and marketing to drive product improvements and marketing activities

Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of industry experience with 3+ years in a pre-sales environment
  • Strong presentation skills for both engineers and executives (whiteboard, demos)
  • Broad experience with large databases, data warehouses, ETL, analytics, and cloud technologies
  • Hands-on knowledge of SQL and SQL analytics
  • Ability to map customer business challenges to Snowflake solutions and craft proposals
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field or equivalent experience
  • Fluent in Japanese and English
