About the role

Senior Solution Engineer focused on expanding adoption within Snowflake’s existing enterprise customers in Singapore, with emphasis on Financial Services and Digital Native sectors. Partners with Account Executives to drive workload expansion and acts as a trusted advisor on data, analytics, and AI strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical expansion strategy for a portfolio of Snowflake customers in Singapore.
  • Identify and map customer business objectives to workloads, use cases, and lines of business that will benefit from Snowflake AI Data Cloud.
  • Design and deliver compelling demos and technical narratives tailored to each customer’s architecture and use cases.
  • Lead and execute POCs/Pilots that prove value and de-risk platform decisions, including success criteria definition and joint execution plans.
  • Translate complex technical capabilities into clear business value and ROI for senior non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Success, Professional Services, Product, and Partners to ensure successful customer outcomes.
  • Work with SI, ISV, and cloud partners to incorporate their solutions into customer architectures where relevant.
  • Capture and relay field feedback to Product and Engineering to influence roadmap priorities.
  • Represent Snowflake at customer workshops, executive briefings, industry events, and community meetups.
  • Create and share technical content (presentations, reference architectures, playbooks, demos).

Qualifications

  • Extensive 10 years working experience in customer facing solution engineering role
  • Strong competency on modern data stacks, ETL/ELT, data warehouse/lake, data science, Gen AI and Data Apps
  • Open Data Architecture Mastery: Proven experience implementing or migrating architectures to Apache Iceberg, Delta Lake, or Apache Hudi. Solid understanding of object storage optimization (Parquet/ORC layouts) and catalog management (Project Nessie, Polaris, Hive Metastore).
  • Data Engineering Stack: Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL. Extensive experience with distributed compute frameworks (Apache Spark, PySpark) and modern data stack tools like dbt.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Hands-on experience architecting data solutions within major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), specifically around networking and security .
  • Excellent ability to present to both technical and executive audiences, whether through impromptu whiteboarding or structured presentations and demos.
  • Hands-on expertise with SQL & Spark
