About the role
Senior security engineer leading penetration testing across applications, cloud, network, hardware and OT in Microsoft CO+I, with hands-on execution, team leadership, strategic guidance, and stakeholder communication.
Responsibilities
- Leads and participates in comprehensive penetration testing across all layers of services including applications, cloud, network, hardware and critical infrastructure OT systems.
- Operates in uncertain environments, executing offensive and defensive security operations and identifying unknown risk areas.
- Builds relationships to enable secure collaboration and advocate for security changes.
- Provides strategic guidance on priorities, tactics, evaluation strategies, and methodologies; creates attack paths demonstrating impact.
- Directs engagement governance (scoping, risk communications) and ensures remediation within SLAs; delivers reporting.
- Creates executive-level presentations and data-driven reports explaining risks, findings, and remediation plans.
- Acts as a technical operator on various penetration testing offerings, identifying misconfigurations and enhancing threat visibility.
- Researches emerging threats and tools to stay current with attack techniques.
- Mentors team members and partners, fostering curiosity and collaboration; collaborates with detection, threat intelligence and incident response teams.
- Applies AI and automation to scale reconnaissance, discovery and testing.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field AND 4+ years’ security experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field AND 6+ years’ security experience OR equivalent experience.
