About the role

Cloud Solution Architect focused on application innovation and AI transformation on Microsoft platform, handling technical engagements for Azure, Azure Machine Learning and GitHub projects. Customer-facing, hands-on role spanning design, build and operations with emphasis on removing technical obstacles and adoption challenges. Requires deep Azure Machine Learning and Azure AI Foundry expertise and modern app development experience; lead architectural discussions with senior stakeholders and collaborate on pilots and implementations.

Responsibilities

  • Understand customers’ business and IT priorities for platform engineering, cloud application development, and adoption of generative, agentic and classical machine learning, including Azure Machine Learning as the right platform for training, deploying and governing models.
  • Demonstrate hands-on depth in Azure Machine Learning: workspace architecture with managed networking and private endpoints, compute/GPU quota strategy, data assets and feature stores, AutoML and distributed training, model registries, MLflow experiment tracking, and managed online and batch endpoints with safe rollout.
  • Design and deliver production MLOps: CI/CD for models, components and prompts with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, promotion across workspaces through registries, infrastructure as code, and monitoring for data and model drift with defined retraining triggers.
  • Lead generative and agentic AI architecture on Azure AI Foundry and Azure Machine Learning: model selection, prompt flow, retrieval-augmented generation with Azure AI Search, prompting/finetuning/retrieval trade-offs, evaluation and grounding metrics, content safety, production observability.
  • Ensure intelligent applications meet enterprise expectations for security, scalability, maintainability and reliability; ensure ML workloads meet identity-based data access, network isolation, cost control and Responsible AI requirements.
  • Act as voice of the customer by driving feedback to engineering and insights on usage; accelerate solution delivery via architectural reviews, proofs of concept, MVP applications, model pilots and environment setup.
  • Support customer skilling with recommendations and hands-on workshops on Azure Machine Learning and Azure AI, plus other cloud readiness activities for developers, data scientists and platform teams.
  • Drive cloud consumption growth and support by developing opportunities delivering Customer Success business results and resolving blockers using subject matter expertise and escalation processes.
  • Develop client and partner relationships to anticipate, escalate and resolve technical blockers; identify growth opportunities using knowledge of Microsoft and competitor AI/ML platforms.
  • Stay current with Azure, Azure Machine Learning, Azure AI Foundry and GitHub; practice enterprise languages like .NET, Python, Java or JavaScript/Node.js with strong Python ML stack proficiency.
  • Share insights and strategic technical input with technical teams and internal communities; participate in external technical events and drive IP reuse and best-practice sharing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field with 4+ years of experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, IT consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, architecture or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of customer-facing experience (internal and/or external) preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience on technical projects preferred.
  • Hands-on experience designing, training, deploying and operating ML models on Azure Machine Learning in production, including MLOps and model lifecycle management.
  • Technical certifications in cloud or AI (e.g., Azure AI Engineer Associate, Azure Data Scientist Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent AWS/Google/security certifications).
  • Enterprise-scale experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture design and migrations; proficient in .NET, Java, JavaScript/Node.js or Python, with strong preference for Python and ML ecosystem.
  • Experience with retrieval-augmented generation, agentic app patterns, and evaluating generative AI solutions on Azure AI Foundry.
