About the role

Finance Director leading the Microsoft Elevate Finance team (an industry vertical focused on AI for social impact organizations and educational institutions). Responsible for annual revenue planning, resource allocation, ROI-based insights, and collaborating across Corporate and Field Finance to drive growth and efficiency in a fast-paced, startup-like environment within Microsoft Elevate.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction to senior business leaders with respect to financial management, resource prioritization and optimizing headcount.
  • Lead the annual target-setting and planning processes to align financial objectives with business priorities.
  • Manage business and financial performance to deliver on revenue growth and operating expenses targets.
  • Provide actionable insights on resource allocation based on ROI analysis.
  • Implement automation and AI to streamline financial analysis and reporting.
  • Direct financial modeling and analysis to deepen leadership’s understanding of business health, assess competitive offerings, and evaluate usage and revenue performance.
  • Collaborate across Corporate and Field Finance teams to drive alignment, share business insights, and leverage best practices.
  • Coach the team to prioritize and simplify its work by providing the context needed to make sound decisions.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 10+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year(s) experience managing direct reports.
