About the role

Coordinate data center projects and operational activities within Microsoft's data centre environment, working with technical teams, customers and suppliers to support service delivery, manage incidents and escalations, and improve how work is delivered in the data centre.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate assigned data centre projects and activities to support service delivery objectives.
  • Monitor project-related costs and contribute to delivering work within agreed budgets.
  • Follow applicable safety and security policies and procedures and promptly report identified concerns.
  • Troubleshoot and coordinate responses to service incidents, escalating issues to the appropriate teams or stakeholders when required.
  • Support delivery against applicable service-level agreements and operational objectives while minimizing disruption to customers and the business.
  • Identify potential customer impacts associated with operational events, maintenance or technical issues and communicate risks appropriately.
  • Review schedules, identify potential conflicts and coordinate alternative solutions where appropriate.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, customers and suppliers to clarify expectations, responsibilities and delivery requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce risk when planning or performing maintenance activities.
  • Take ownership of assigned activities and contribute to service quality, availability, safety, security and customer experience.
  • Participate in incident reviews and root cause analysis to support continuous improvement.
  • Share knowledge and effective practices with colleagues across the data centre organisation.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 1+ years of relevant industry experience; or
  • 2+ years of relevant industry experience with college coursework.
