About the role
Azure Core Compute team builds scalable, highly available microservices and distributed systems to power Azure Compute. Responsibilities include delivering large-scale services, leveraging machine learning for capacity prioritization, fraud mitigation, and extending the billing pipeline to scale for 5–10 years of growth. The role focuses on availability, security, performance, scalability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery across the full tech stack in an Agile, CD environment.
Responsibilities
- Passionate about solving large-scale engineering challenges and delivering high-quality, reliable services.
- Comfortable working across the full technology stack with end-to-end systems perspective.
- Designs solutions with a focus on availability, security, scalability, performance, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery.
- Leverages AI-assisted development tools and practices to improve engineering productivity, code quality, and innovation.
- Uses telemetry, monitoring, and data-driven insights to continuously improve service health and customer experience.
- Builds cloud-native solutions using containers, microservices, REST APIs, NoSQL databases, and Big Data technologies.
- Thrives in an Agile environment with continuous delivery, rapid iteration, and weekly sprint execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, .NET, or Python
- OR equivalent experience
