About the role

Solution Engineer role to help high-growth Digital Native and Startup customers build, modernize and scale on Microsoft Azure, translating business/AI requirements into executable Azure solution plans and driving adoption and Azure consumption.

Responsibilities

  • Own technical strategy for assigned Digital Native and Startup customers from discovery through technical close, MVP, pilot and production adoption.
  • Lead architecture-led customer conversations across Azure AI, application innovation, data platforms, developer tools, cloud operations, governance and security.
  • Design end-to-end solutions using Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, agents and RAG patterns, AKS, containers, serverless, APIs, Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Power BI and GitHub.
  • Deliver demos, whiteboarding sessions, architecture workshops, POCs and technical validations that demonstrate business value and path to production.
  • Translate customer goals and technical complexity into decision criteria, success plans, roadmaps and measurable outcomes.
  • Identify and remove technical blockers including architecture gaps, security concerns, capacity/quota constraints, migration risks and operational readiness issues.
  • Partner with account executives, specialists and customer success teams to support pipeline creation, opportunity progression, technical win documentation, milestone hygiene and forecast quality.
  • Differentiate Microsoft by positioning Azure as a trusted, secure, scalable and integrated platform for AI-native software companies.
  • Capture reusable patterns and insights to enable scaling across US, Asia and EMEA.

Qualifications

  • Experience in technical pre-sales, solution engineering, cloud architecture, software engineering, technical consulting or equivalent customer-facing role.
  • Ability to influence technical and business stakeholders (CTOs, founders, engineering leaders, architects, product leaders).
  • Hands-on understanding of cloud architecture and modern application design (security, reliability, scalability, integration, operations).
  • Practical experience with AI, data, analytics, application modernization or developer platforms on Azure or comparable cloud platforms.
  • Experience creating demos/prototypes/POCs/pilots/MVPs that lead to technical decisions and production adoption.
  • Strong communication, storytelling and collaboration skills; ability to drive consensus without direct authority.
  • Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering/IT or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
