About the role

Senior CE Technician responsible for maintaining and supporting critical environments in Microsoft’s CO+I datacenters. Leads on advanced tasks in electrical/mechanical/controls, performs maintenance, incident response, and contributes to SOPs/EOPs while mentoring others and coordinating with vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an operations specialist in one major area of CE operations (e.g., electrical, mechanical, controls, generators) and work on advanced tasks independently.
  • Inspect and supervise critical environment-related facility equipment (controls, HVAC, mechanical systems), building and grounds for unsafe or abnormal conditions and escalate per policies.
  • Utilize CMMS to track equipment assets and complete work orders.
  • Safely and quickly respond to and lead onsite incident response teams for abnormal conditions, coordinating with other CE professionals for corrective repairs without supervision.
  • Enhance, develop new or follow existing EOPs, MOPs, and SOPs related to CE operations and incidents.
  • Perform various maintenance types (planned, predictive, corrective) and repairs following MOPs/SOPs and escalate when appropriate.
  • Have hands-on understanding of equipment and troubleshoot independently within trained disciplines.
  • Provide consultation to lower-level colleagues in troubleshooting systems and problems.
  • Communicate with maintenance contractors in local Greek language when necessary.
  • Follow safety, EH&S, JHAs, toolbox talks and other requirements to perform work safely and reliably.
  • Embody Microsoft culture and values in daily work.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent AND experience in mission critical services environments (e.g., data centers, oil/gas refineries, hospitals, pharma, manufacturing) OR equivalent experience.
  • Some experience in a specialized area (mechanical, electrical, or controls) or related field.
  • Willingness to travel between sites; valid driver’s license.
