About the role
Founding Full Stack Engineer at Solum Health, building AI-driven automation for outpatient insurance workflows (verification, prior authorization, coverage detection) with a small early-stage team.
Responsibilities
- Automate insurance work for customers, starting with outpatient facilities: insurance verification, prior authorization, coverage detection.
- Develop AI agents that read documents, navigate insurer websites, and integrate with customers' systems.
- Write and improve prompts for agents, test on real cases, and measure accuracy on live work.
- Ship features across a Next.js frontend and a FastAPI backend, using workflow tools like n8n where appropriate.
- Collaborate directly with customer teams to deploy automations inside their organizations.
Qualifications
- 3+ years in AI/ML or full-stack engineering with production systems you owned from first version to live use.
- Experience writing code with Claude Code, Codex, or similar coding agents, and robust review/testing processes for AI-generated code.
- Production LLM experience: prompt design and versioning, evaluations, and A/B testing on real traffic.
- Integration work with messy external systems: third-party APIs, webhooks, browser automation, and document/file processing.
- Comfort working across frontend, backend, and AI systems.
