About the role

Frontend Engineer role building and maintaining the user interface for Hawk's agentic AI Investigation Agent, a TypeScript React monorepo with microfrontends and AI-driven workflows for AML/fraud investigation.

Responsibilities

  • Features: Build product features end to end in React and TypeScript, such as workflow graph editors, investigation timelines, data-heavy tables and dashboards.
  • Microfrontends: Develop and maintain Module Federation remotes, ensure stable remote/host contracts and integration with Investigation Agent and Case Manager.
  • Design system and data layer: Contribute to the shared shadcn/ui + Tailwind component library and consume backend APIs via OpenAPI-generated clients with TanStack Query and Router.
  • Build, test and deploy: Work in a pnpm + Turborepo monorepo with GitHub Actions CI, Vitest and Playwright tests, deployments to AWS with per-PR preview environments.
  • Collaboration: Work with Product, UX, backend engineers and Data Science; use AI coding tools in daily workflow.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years building and maintaining production React applications
  • Strong TypeScript and modern React skills (hooks, composition, performance, complex state and forms)
  • Clean frontend architecture with feature-based structure, presentational components, hooks for data fetching, typed API layers, and clear separation of server vs local state
  • Design-system experience with shadcn/ui, Radix and Tailwind; familiarity with Material UI is a plus
  • Microfrontends experience: Module Federation or similar, shared dependencies, host/remote contracts; build/deploy basics: Vite, monorepos, CI pipelines
  • Comfort with ambiguity and proactive communication; AI tooling familiarity (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot)
  • Strong English communication; ability to explain technical decisions to diverse audiences
