About the role

Senior Sales Engineer role at Instacart focused on driving adoption of flagship ecommerce products with large retailers. Leads consultative, technical discussions, supports new implementations and integrations, and collaborates across Business Development, Product, Engineering, and Enterprise Solutions to align technical capabilities with strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Business Development to develop and implement strategies to increase adoption of Instacart products and services
  • Prepare for and lead technical discussions with audiences from executive stakeholders to engineers/developers, tailoring content accordingly
  • Gain deep understanding of the Instacart ecosystem to provide consultative services to partners and business stakeholders
  • Interface with product and engineering teams to continually build technical knowledge and capabilities and represent them to customers and business teams
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Solutions teams to ensure smooth handoff of implementation scope and plans
  • Define internal processes and requirements to be considered during early scoping
  • Identify new opportunities from customer discussions and market trends and provide feedback to Product teams
  • Create and maintain technical sales material to scale the sales process
  • Manage multiple work streams across multiple customers

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in Sales Engineering/Solution Engineering or similar role
  • Strong experience selling technical products and scoping integrations into client environments
  • Ability to develop and own technical presentations and communications
  • Excellent communication skills balancing complex technical concepts with business value
  • Some travel required
