About the role

Finance leader responsible for shaping where the company invests and how it grows, partnering with the CEO and COO to drive strategic prioritization, financial modeling, planning, and executive-facing storytelling for Serve Robotics (with Diligent Robotics context).

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic prioritization for the business: frame trade-offs across initiatives, quantify resource requirements and expected returns, and recommend where to invest, scale back, or stop
  • Own capital budgeting and investment analysis, building NPV, IRR, payback, and scenario models for capital deployment, major programs, pricing changes, and new market entry, and set hurdle-rates and return frameworks
  • Size targets and market opportunities (TAM/SAM, unit economics, adoption and penetration curves) to underpin company goals and long-range plan
  • Build and maintain sum-of-the-parts analyses to value and compare business lines, products, and markets for portfolio and resource allocation decisions
  • Lead financial modeling for M&A, partnerships, and commercial agreements, including valuation, synergies, integration scenarios, deal structuring inputs, and post-deal tracking
  • Own the long-range strategic plan with multi-year financial modeling and updated growth/margin/capital assumptions
  • Define and maintain KPI and unit-economics framework aligned to financial model and value creation
  • Prepare executive-ready presentations, valuation outputs, and financial narratives for leadership, board, and investors
  • Run ad hoc strategic analyses on pricing, GTM investments, competitive positioning, and corporate development opportunities
  • Serve as primary Strategic Finance and FP&A partner to Diligent and Serve (Serve Robotics) CEOs/COO with operational insight
  • Develop deep understanding of both operations and Serve Robotics business to inform forecast assumptions and decision frameworks
  • Communicate complex financial concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholders and influence decisions with data-driven insights
  • Build toward team leadership: hire, develop, and manage finance staff and establish scalable processes
  • Own the company-wide operating budget, rolling forecast, and long-range plan, ensuring consistency between top-down targets and bottom-up inputs
  • Run monthly/quarterly forecast cycles with variance analysis and narrative
  • Partner with functional leaders and Accounting to align forecasts, actuals, and financial statements
  • Serve as systems owner for Pigment planning environment and maintain single source of truth for planning
  • Improve data accuracy and scalability through automation and advanced tools (Excel/Sheets, Pigment, AI/workflow tools) for strategic analysis

Qualifications

  • 6-8+ years of progressive experience in strategic finance, corporate finance, investment banking, corporate development, or FP&A in tech/high-growth environment
  • Proven ownership of capital budgeting, market sizing, valuation/so‑parts analyses, and M&A/partnership modeling with actionable recommendations
  • Experience building multi-year financial models and presenting investment cases to executives/board
  • Ability to partner with C-level executives and influence senior leadership
  • Curiosity about understanding operating business from the ground up and translating insights into forecasts
  • Experience owning company-wide budget, forecast, and long-range planning
  • Expert proficiency in Google Sheets and Excel for complex modeling/automation
  • Hands-on experience with Pigment or similar planning platform
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite)
  • Strong business acumen, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
