About the role

Senior Software Engineer with frontend focus in Snowflake's Customer Experience Engineering, building AI-enabled diagnostic tooling and data-visualisation surfaces within the Snowflake product, primarily using React and TypeScript, with contributing backend work as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build the user-facing surface of diagnostic and AI-assisted tooling in React and TypeScript, owning component architecture, state management, and reusable patterns
  • Turn dense, high-cardinality diagnostic data into interactive visualisations and workflows
  • Own frontend performance and quality across large data volumes, accessibility, and cross-browser correctness
  • Work down the stack to shape APIs and services behind features across Node.js, Java, and SQL
  • Collaborate with product management and design to define product vision and planning
  • Deliver features requiring coordination with multiple partner teams for end-to-end solutions
  • Design, build, and contribute to AI-powered features and diagnostic tools, considering reliability and architecture
  • Apply a framework for using AI tools in daily workflow, knowing when AI accelerates development
  • Take ownership of code quality and debug AI-assisted tool errors before production
  • Influence engineering practices by establishing norms, guides, and review policies around AI-assisted development and code review

Qualifications

  • B.E. or M.E. in Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, or equivalent practical experience
  • 4+ years of software engineering experience building modern web applications, with majority frontend
  • Deep expertise in React and TypeScript (components, state, performance, architecture)
  • Working proficiency in at least one backend area (Node.js, Java, or SQL) with end-to-end feature shipping
  • Experience building data-dense interfaces (dashboards, charts, tables) and relevant visualization techniques
  • Strong sense for interaction design and usability, ability to partner with designers
  • Experience designing/shipping AI-powered features or LLM-integrated experiences
  • Fluency with AI-assisted development tools and a framework for tool selection and quality ownership
  • Proven track record of influencing team practices (AI code reviews, guides, PR standards)
  • Mastery of unit/tests, code reviews, design docs, and telemetry
