About the role

Senior Product Manager role within the Excel Copilot initiative, focused on integrating foundation models and agentic AI into Excel to create an intelligent data experience with a strong emphasis on customer needs, data-driven decisions, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Identify customer needs and product opportunities through customer engagement, telemetry, experimentation, research, competitive insights, and other relevant data.
  • Evaluate AI capabilities, including foundation models and agentic systems, and translate applicable capabilities into product experiences that address customer needs.
  • Partner with Engineering, Applied Science, Design, and other cross-functional teams to define product requirements, hypotheses, success criteria, and measurable outcomes.
  • Use experimentation, evaluations, telemetry, and customer feedback to measure product performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and inform product decisions.
  • Drive near-term product improvements while contributing to longer-term product strategy and vision for Excel.
  • Assess product and technical tradeoffs in ambiguous or rapidly evolving areas and establish priorities based on customer needs, data, technical considerations, and business objectives.
  • Define and monitor product metrics and use data and customer insights to inform prioritization and product investments.
  • Communicate product priorities, decisions, and recommendations clearly across cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate effectively across disciplines and contribute learnings, product practices, and insights that support the broader team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product management including driving products from strategy through delivery and using qualitative and quantitative data to inform product decisions OR equivalent experience
