About the role

Principal Engineering Manager role within the Customer Innovation Engineering (CIE) team of MCAPS-Core, blending hands-on software engineering, technical leadership, customer engagement, and people management to deliver observability-focused Azure services and production-grade cloud solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Driving engineering impact with strategic Azure customers
  • Building and evolving an observability-focused service
  • Owning production reliability and operations
  • Creating reusable engineering assets
  • Influencing Azure platform engineering
  • Strengthening technical capability across MCAPS-Core
  • Leading and developing the engineering team
  • Driving engineering strategy and execution

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
