About the role

Solution Engineer – Apps & AI to help organisations modernise applications, adopt AI-powered solutions, and build intelligent experiences. Lead complex engagements, shape technical strategy, and drive adoption and expansion across customers, partners and teams.

Responsibilities

  • Build Strategy: Develop strategic Apps & AI technical approaches aligned with customer priorities and Microsoft capabilities; build competitive knowledge; collaborate with account and specialist teams to shape win, adoption and expansion plans; identify emerging patterns and provide actionable feedback to product/engineering teams.
  • Education: Act as an Apps & AI technical thought leader; share architectures, demos, best practices and customer learnings; build readiness for peers; identify capability gaps and create reusable content; lead/participate in technical communities, events, hackathons and mentoring.
  • Leverage Partner Ecosystem: Build strong technical relationships with partners; identify opportunities to use partners to accelerate modernisation and AI adoption; scale successful approaches through partners across customers and ecosystem.
  • Scale Customer Engagements: Build trusted relationships with technical decision-makers; lead complex technical wins; identify and resolve blockers; coach account teams and sellers and establish engagement/hand-off strategies.
  • Solution Design and Proof: Lead architecture design sessions, proofs of concept, pilots and hackathons; design end-to-end solutions using Azure and related technologies; adapt patterns for complex requirements balancing security, Responsible AI, scalability, cost; create reusable architectures and assets for scale across customers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience; or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with cloud and hybrid technologies, including solution architecture, application development or modernisation, migrations, and technology management.
  • Experience with modern application development, cloud-native architectures, AI-powered applications, generative AI, copilots or agents, and related developer technologies.
  • Relevant Microsoft or industry certifications across Azure, AI, application development, architecture, security, or related technologies.
