About the role

Applied Science Intern at Microsoft focusing on research in LLMs, VLMs, and Generative Image & Video, with opportunities to develop and deploy AI research into products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research in Agentic ML, LLMs, VLMs, and Generative Image & Video.
  • Implementation and evaluation of novel model optimization/deployment or adaptation of known ML approaches to product-related scenarios.
  • Design and implement experiments to test hypotheses and validate findings.
  • Develop and optimise algorithms and models for AI applications.
  • Collaborate with team members to integrate research outcomes into practical solutions.
  • Present research findings to the team and contribute to publications and patents.

Qualifications

  • You must be legally authorized to work in the United Kingdom (citizenship or valid visa/work permit).
  • Currently pursuing a PhD in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Must have at least one additional quarter/semester/term of school remaining following the completion of the internship.
  • At least one published paper in CVPR, ICML, ICLR, NeurIPS, WACV, AAAI.
