About the role

The Copilot Extensibility and Developer Platform team builds the product, platform, and operational foundations that enable customers and partners to extend Microsoft 365 Copilot with agents, connectors, APIs, and related capabilities. The PM will work directly with strategic enterprise customers and partners to identify high-value problems, incubate extensibility scenarios, and guide solutions from concept through production readiness and repeatable adoption.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic customer engagements. Partner with senior business and technical stakeholders to identify high-value scenarios, define measurable outcomes, and build a shared path from discovery through deployment and adoption.
  • Incubate production-ready AI solutions. Frame agent, connector, and API scenarios; validate feasibility; and guide customers through architecture, data readiness, security, compliance, governance, deployment, and supportability tradeoffs.
  • Unblock complex implementations. Work hands-on with customers, engineering, partners, and delivery teams to diagnose technical and product gaps, drive issues to resolution, and maintain clear executive communication during high-impact engagements.
  • Translate customer evidence into product direction. Synthesize qualitative feedback, telemetry, evaluations, support signals, and competitive insights into prioritized requirements, product strategy, and roadmap recommendations.
  • Drive cross-functional execution. Align engineering, design, research, marketing, business development, field, support, and partner teams around customer outcomes, clear ownership, milestones, risks, and decisions.
  • Create scalable patterns. Convert customer-specific learning into reusable architectures, onboarding playbooks, samples, evaluation methods, documentation, and enablement that accelerate adoption across customers and partners.
  • Own success measures. Define and track metrics for solution quality, deployment readiness, time to value, adoption, usage, customer health, and business impact; use results to improve the product and engagement model.
  • Represent the customer with credibility. Serve as a trusted product and technical advisor in executive briefings, architecture reviews, roadmap discussions, and escalation forums while balancing customer needs with platform strategy and engineering constraints.
  • Shape go-to-market readiness. Partner on positioning, technical narratives, launch readiness, field enablement, lighthouse wins, and ecosystem programs for new Copilot extensibility capabilities.
  • Operate as a senior product leader. Create clarity in ambiguous spaces, make principled tradeoffs, influence across organizational boundaries, and raise the product-management bar through coaching and reusable best practices.
  • What Success Looks Like: Trusted relationships with strategic customers, accelerated high-value solutions into production, and durable feedback loops that improve the Copilot extensibility platform.

Qualifications
