About the role

Nanofabrication Engineer in Microsoft Quantum Denmark to contribute to fabrication of nanoscale components, develop and optimize nanofabrication processes, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality quantum devices.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and support development of nanofabrication process blocks.
  • Support manufacturing and delivery of standardized and exploratory nanoscale components.
  • Plan and execute structured experiments to improve process performance and understanding.
  • Analyze and interpret fabrication, metrology and test data and communicate engineering conclusions.
  • Identify process excursions and contribute to root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Troubleshoot fabrication processes and equipment in collaboration with other equipment engineers, technicians and other process engineers.
  • Support process qualification, monitoring and continuous improvement activities.
  • Create and maintain clear process specifications, work instructions and engineering documentation.
  • Contribute to the development of data-analysis, automation and AI-assisted workflows for laboratory and fabrication activities.
  • Follow and model laboratory and cleanroom safety standards and practices, including compliance with applicable policies and timely escalation of safety concerns.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Practical experience working in a cleanroom or semiconductor/microfabrication environment.
  • Hands-on experience micro- and nanofabrication processes such as lithography, deposition, wet chemistry, dry etching and associated metrology.
