About the role

Microsoft is seeking an AI Workforce Solution Specialist to help education institutions in Australia adopt AI responsibly, driving measurable impact across teaching, student support, research productivity and campus operations using AI tools like Microsoft 365 Copilot and related solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead consultative conversations with education leaders to show how AI can support strategic priorities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, aligning AI solutions to institutional goals such as educator wellbeing, student success, research excellence and operational efficiency.
  • Build compelling business cases that quantify time saved, outcomes improved and ROI, and help customers secure funding and approval through governance and procurement processes.
  • Guide institutions on responsible and safe AI use, including data privacy, student safety, accessibility, academic integrity and alignment with education AI frameworks.
  • Facilitate envisioning workshops and hands-on sessions to identify high-value use cases across teaching, enrolment, student services and finance.
  • Help customers design and scale AI agents that streamline everyday processes for staff and students.
  • Build and manage a healthy pipeline of opportunities, forecast accurately and move opportunities from interest to commitment.
  • Drive adoption and value post-purchase with customer success and technical teams to ensure measurable impact.
  • Collaborate with account teams, technical specialists, partners and marketing to create demand through events, workshops and education programmes.
  • Connect AI opportunities to security, cloud, devices and business applications for a joined-up experience.
  • Share insights and success stories with the team and education community to grow AI expertise.
  • Act with integrity, complete required training and raise risks early.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business, education or related field AND 4+ years of experience in technology-related sales, account management or consulting; OR equivalent experience.
