About the role

Research Interns in the Algorithms group at MSR Redmond work on generative modeling, pairing theoretical inquiry with practical experimentation across diffusion models, image autoregressive models, and language models. Interns collaborate with mentors and researchers for a 12-week program, typically starting in summer, and may contribute to ongoing and published research.

Responsibilities

  • Pair with mentors and collaborate with other Research Interns and researchers
  • Present findings and contribute to the research community
  • Advance research in generative modeling, focusing on algorithmic innovation to enhance efficiency and generation quality of models (e.g., diffusion models, image auto-regressive models, language models)
  • Participate in a 12-week internship program during the summer and beyond, as applicable

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a master's degree program in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM field
