About the role

Join Sameday as a Backend Engineer to develop scalable, reliable backend systems using Python and AWS, focusing on AI-driven solutions for home service businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Design and Implement Back-End Systems: Build and maintain scalable and reliable backend systems using Python and AWS.
  • API Development: Develop RESTful APIs to connect front-end and back-end components seamlessly.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Architect, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS.
  • Data Management: Develop efficient data storage solutions and data pipelines supporting AI models.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with front-end developers, data scientists, and product managers.
  • Ensure Security and Compliance: Implement secure authentication, data privacy, and compliance measures.
  • Optimize System Performance: Monitor and optimize system performance for high availability and low latency.

Qualifications

  • Professional experience in backend software engineering, particularly in SaaS or AI applications.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda).
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with AWS infrastructure, serverless architecture, containerization (Docker).
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB).
  • Proficiency with version control (Git) and CI/CD tools.
  • Understanding of event-driven architectures and microservices.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, ELK Stack).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ownership attitude.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum frameworks.
