About the role

Building high-performance, user-friendly front-end systems using React, collaborating with design and backend teams, mentoring junior engineers, and optimizing user experience in a high-stakes startup environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and Implement Front-End Systems: Build and maintain scalable and reliable front-end systems using React.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI Designers: Work closely with our design team to bring beautiful, responsive designs to life.
  • Optimize User Experience: Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of our user interfaces.
  • API Integration: Integrate with backend services to deliver rich, data-driven experiences.
  • Code Quality and Standards: Write clean, maintainable code and enforce best practices.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with backend engineers, product managers, and data scientists.
  • Mentor Team Members: Support and elevate junior engineers by providing guidance and conducting code reviews.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in front-end software engineering, specifically in SaaS or artificial intelligence applications.
  • Strong proficiency in React and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
  • Proven experience building responsive and performant web applications.
  • Strong knowledge of modern front-end build pipelines and tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel, NPM).
  • Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, MobX) and context API.
  • Deep familiarity with RESTful APIs and WebSocket communication.
  • Expert in version control (Git) and CI/CD tools.
  • In-depth understanding of cross-browser compatibility, accessibility standards, and front-end performance optimization.
  • Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and optimizing front-end systems.
  • Ability to take full ownership of features from conception to deployment.
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading technical discussions.
