About the role
Building robust, scalable backend systems for AI solutions at Sameday, focusing on Python and AWS.
Responsibilities
- Design and Implement Back-End Systems: Build and maintain scalable and reliable backend systems using Python and AWS.
- API Development: Develop RESTful APIs to connect front-end and back-end components seamlessly.
- Cloud Infrastructure Management: Architect, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS.
- Data Management: Develop efficient data storage solutions and data pipelines supporting AI models.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with front-end developers, data scientists, and product managers.
- Ensure Security and Compliance: Implement secure authentication, data privacy, and ensure standards compliance.
- Optimize System Performance: Monitor and optimize system performance, address latency and scalability issues.
- Mentor Team Members: Support and guide junior engineers, conduct code reviews.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of professional experience in backend software engineering, specifically in SaaS or AI applications.
- Strong proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda).
- Proven experience developing RESTful APIs.
- Deep familiarity with AWS cloud infrastructure, including serverless architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker).
- Strong experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, DynamoDB).
- Expertise in version control (Git) and CI/CD tools.
- Understanding of event-driven architectures and microservices.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, ELK Stack).
