About the role
Weave is building a platform to understand and improve how engineering teams work. The Founding Product Engineer will help define the product and technical foundation, work directly with the founders, and own early product development from frontend to backend and infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Talking to customers to understand their pain points and requests
- Designing and planning potential solutions
- Writing the backend for a new feature
- Writing the frontend for a new feature
- Provisioning the infrastructure to support a new feature
- Releasing the feature and collecting customer feedback on it
- Finding a hacky fix to solve a bug quickly
- Finding a great fix to solve a bug and eliminate future bugs too
Qualifications
- Formidable engineer with strong ownership mindset
- Pragmatic and able to handle startup fires
- Commitment to becoming a great engineer with a growth mindset
- Empathetic and able to understand how others think
- Passion for helping engineering teams improve their output
